Brant Energy is a small energy consulting firm founded in 2004 by Geoff Mitchell and Linda Quinn. These principals were formerly associated with Merrimack Energy Company, Limited, which was founded in 1991 by Geoff Mitchell. Brant provides energy project origination, project development, consulting services, and related marketing and analytical support to all segments of the domestic and international energy industries.

Brant principals have identified energy project opportunities for clients at the forefront of market trends, and have played an active role in the successful development of these projects. The Brant team has over 50 years of combined experience in the energy industry and has been involved in electric generation development, gas storage, electric transmission, gas pipeline projects, gas and power marketing, LNG and other energy ventures.

Brant currently holds an indirect equity position in the proposed Jordan Cove Energy Project, a 1.0 Bcf/day LNG import terminal located near Coos Bay, OR and currently proceeding with its federal state and local permits; and a direct ownership interest in Era Gas Storage, a new gas storage company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta.
